There’s no one right way to swing in baseball or softball, but there is one efficient way to hit and that is based on what the hitter can physically do.
This is achieved by first screening the player for strength and mobility limitations. Once areas of concern have been identified, breaking down their swing mechanics from set up, to launch position, to contact and follow through we can get a whole picture of what is truly limiting a player. Using that assessment of movement limitations and the knowledge of swing mechanics, we can design a plan to improve hitting performance through specific hitting drills and strength work. At the end of the day the three things we try to create is an efficient, repeatable, and controlled swing.
Each Hitting Assessment includes:
- 90-minute assessment and evaluation, including set up, load, stride, hand path, contact and follow through.
- Mobility/Strength to identify weakness or imbalances that could be affecting performance.
- Drill work to directly improve hitting mechanics.
- Strength work to improve athleticism.
