Saturday, Oct. 26 at Bellin Health, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and Aurora BayCare Medical Center
Bellin Health, HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center and Aurora BayCare Medical Center are partnering with the Green Bay Police Department for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), to offer Brown County residents safe disposal of expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications.
Area residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of these medications at three convenient Green Bay locations from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26:
- Bellin Health, 725 S. Webster Ave. (across Webster Avenue from hospital main entrance)
- HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center, 1726 Shawano Ave. (near Emergency Department entrance)
- Aurora BayCare Medical Center, 2485 Greenbrier Rd. (Entrance 2)
Medication Take-Back:
- Prescription and over-the-counter medications accepted
- Cross out identifying information on the containers
- No sharps
Those dropping off medications should remain in their vehicle and a volunteer will come to collect their items.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to rid homes of unused medications that create a public health and safety concern because they can be stolen, abused, accidentally ingested or improperly disposed of.
