Green Bay – Emplify Health by Bellin is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 11th annual Bellin Women’s Half Marathon, two-person relay & 5K on Saturday, October 4. The event is presented by Capital Credit Union.
“This event is all about celebrating and motivating female athletes of all levels and abilities while bringing awareness to health and wellbeing issues that are specific to women,” said Bellin Women’s Half Marathon Race Director Linda Maxwell. “This is a unique-to-our-area event and we love the sense of camaraderie and sisterhood it fosters.”
The event starts and ends in Downtown Green Bay, with the half marathon course winding through Green Bay, Ashwaubenon and De Pere. More than 1,000 girls and women took part in 2024.
Each year has a unique theme that encapsulates the meaning of the event. This year’s theme is FIERCE, which is a nod to the incredible tenacious spirit of female runners of all ages and abilities.
“We’ve created an event that embraces sisterhood and our theme builds off of that, as well as honoring our female athletes who face challenges and chase opportunities while working toward their goals,” added Maxwell.
Registration is available for both in-person and virtual options to allow everyone a chance to be a part of the fun. Participants will receive a long-sleeve race shirt, as well as a finisher medal inscribed with the FIERCE theme. Proceeds from the events benefit The Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay.
