Facility to house Children’s Wisconsin Ashwaubenon Clinic, provide care close to home
The Bellin Health Children & Adolescent Center on June 14 held a Construction Celebration event to mark progress on the new building and share excitement for its opening in late summer 2025.
Initially conceived as a “groundbreaking” that shifted focus due to the pace of construction, the event welcomed Bellin Health and Children’s Wisconsin officials, providers, stakeholders and families to the brief ceremony at 2550 S. Ashland Ave. in the village of Ashwaubenon.
The two-floor, 75,000-square-foot building will be the home for some of Bellin’s pediatric primary care and psychiatric services. It also will house Children’s Wisconsin’s Ashwaubenon Clinic, as well as an array of primary and specialty services to provide care close to home for the children and families of Northeast Wisconsin. It will be staffed by a mix of new and existing providers from the health systems who see children and adolescents — pediatric and family practice clinicians and specialists.
“As a pediatrician, I have to tell you, this clinic is a dream come true,” said Bellin Health physician Dr. Sherri Hoyman, who offered remarks during the event. “It will be a true-game changer for pediatric primary and specialty care in our area, allowing us to provide the best in pediatric and adolescent care under one roof, with more care closer to home for the kids and families of Northeast Wisconsin. I am so thrilled to be celebrating this milestone with all of you today.”
“Children’s Wisconsin has been serving area families through our hospital, specialty clinics and community programs in the northeast for more than 20 years,” said Dr. Matt Buelow, pediatric cardiologist and medical director of the northeast region for Children’s Wisconsin, who spoke at the event. Dr. Buelow is also medical director for Connected for Kids. “We know it’s best for kids and families when they can receive the care they need close to home. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Bellin Health to expand the highly specialized pediatric specialty care we offer in the region through our new Ashwaubenon Clinic.”
The clinic will be operated through the Connected for Kids partnership between Bellin Health, Children’s Wisconsin and ThedaCare. This partnership aims to improve the health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in Northeast and Central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Through focused coordination, closer alignment and resource investments, the partnership is making a meaningful impact on the lives of children, adolescents, their families and our region’s communities.
Services and features of the new Children & Adolescent Center will include:
- Pediatric primary care, including care tailored to adolescents
- Expanded mental health services
- Physical, occupational and speech therapy
- Other specialty care provided by Children’s Wisconsin (full list of specialties to come)
- Sensory gym

- EOS imaging, which provides safer, lower-radiation 3D screening for conditions including scoliosis (third in the state after Madison and Milwaukee)
- Child Life in the outpatient setting

Green Bay mom Jazi Phillips spoke during the Construction Celebration event, sharing the story of her three young children, all of whom have required specialty care. Having this clinic close to home will make a tremendous difference for Phillips and her family, she said.
“All three of my children required specialized care after they were born,” said Philips. “I remember the trips to and from Milwaukee for my son’s treatment, and having this level of care available locally is truly invaluable.”
