MARINETTE — The fourth annual Bellin 5K Heart Run/Walk took place Saturday, May 3, welcoming a record amount of 740 participants to Emplify Health by Bellin Marinette Clinic to celebrate heart-healthy activity. In addition to the 5K, a 1-mile community walk, celebration walk, and children’s run were included in the event’s offerings. Participants ranged in age from 1 to 85.
This community-centered event supports heart-healthy activity for families and participants of all ages. With Emplify Health by Bellin’s commitment to community health, activities for participants and supporters included hands-on CPR training as well as opportunities to test your fitness skills and win cool prizes.
Participants were supported by numerous amounts of community members, Emplify Health by Bellin staff as well as Green Bay Packers players Donavan Jennings and Omar Brown.
The event’s 5K champion on the men’s side was Eric Johnson of Ashwaubenon. Lyndsay Sass from Cedar Grove claimed the title on the women’s side.
