“I am incredibly honored to receive the Rural Health Ambassador Award from the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative,” said Cleven. “The Marinette 5K Heart Run/Walk brings me so much pride, and I am thrilled to see the positive impact it has had on the health and well-being of our community. This award is a testament to the collective effort and support of my team at Bellin Health, the participants, volunteers and communities involved. The 2023 edition of the Heart Run kicked off the 2023-24 Tri-City Event Series, which unites physical activity events in Marinette, Menominee and Peshtigo seeking to grow participation, improve wellness and build deeper community connections.”
Cleven’s vision to offer affordable opportunities for the Marinette community to participate in physical activities materialized with the establishment of the Marinette 5K Run/Walk in 2022. This annual event encourages a healthy and active lifestyle among residents and fosters a sense of unity within the community. The 2024 Marinette 5K will take place Saturday, April 27, 2024.
