Recognized for exceptional quality improvement, leadership
MADISON — The Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) will present Bellin Health with its top award for excellence in quality improvement leadership at a virtual celebration held today, Thursday, July 30. Gabrielle Rude, PhD, incoming WCHQ president/CEO and director of practice transformation, will presented the award. Bellin Health physician Dr. Brad Wozney will accept on behalf of the health system.
WCHQ annually honors a select number of member organizations for superior clinical performance and patient outcomes. This award, however, recognizes one organization for exceptional quality improvement, active engagement with WCHQ’s work, and mentorship of other organizations. One of the attributes that WCHQ’s Quality Planning Committee took into consideration in their criteria for this award was Bellin Health’s notable improvement across many of the WCHQ measures and their participation on and willingness to serve in leadership positions on committees, work groups and on the WCHQ Board of Directors.
“Bellin Health performs well across many of the quality measures WCHQ scores, but their willingness to share what they know with other organizations and help them improve the quality of their patient care demonstrates their commitment to ensure all the people they serve have access to high-quality care, no matter where they live,” said WCHQ President/CEO Chris Queram.
WCHQ is dedicated to helping healthcare professionals improve the quality and affordability of healthcare through collaboration, sharing best practices and publicly reporting information healthcare organizations can use to benchmark and compare their performance. WCHQ’s membership includes Wisconsin’s integrated health systems, hospitals, medical and dental clinics and independent physician groups. For more information visit WCHQ.org.
