Bellin Health is now offering the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 bivalent booster shot for individuals 12 years of age and older at all Bellin vaccination locations. The new bivalent booster was recently approved by the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) through Emergency Use Authorization and recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The updated booster targets two strains of COVID-19 — the original strain of the virus and the most widely spread omicron variants (BA.4 and BA.5).
“As cases of COVID-19 continue to circulate in our communities, the bivalent booster dose will provide a broader layer of protection for individuals, including better protection against the omicron variants — which are now the dominant strain of the virus,” said Bellin Health Infection Prevention Specialist Jennifer Kuhn, BSN, RN, CIC.
Bellin Health administers COVID-19 vaccinations to patients and the public at the following locations:
- Bellin Fastlane in Green Bay (1920 Libal St.) is vaccinating during hours of operation. View hours of operation.
