Sign up today — 19 free entries to be given in 2019
Runners and walkers looking to get a jump on a healthier 2020 can register now for the 44th annual Bellin Run on Saturday, June 13.
Online registration for Green Bay’s signature 10K run/walk is now open, and there’s no better way to prepare for an active 2020 than by committing early to this iconic community event.
“It’s easy to eat too much and move too little during the holiday season, but signing up for the Bellin Run is a great way to start the New Year off right,” said executive race director Randy Van Straten. “Whether you’re a runner or walker, a seasoned athlete or someone looking to start exercising regularly, committing early will help you stay active throughout the winter and into spring.”
As an added incentive to register early, race organizers will give away free registrations to 19 individuals who register in 2019. Those names will be drawn at random from everyone who signs up before midnight Dec. 31.
With the start of Bellin Run registration comes the much-anticipated annual logo reveal. All registrants will receive an official Bellin Run technical T-shirt featuring the logo.
“Unveiling each year’s logo has become a tradition in and of itself,” said assistant race director Linda Maxwell. “Our participants look forward to seeing the new design, and our race shirts serve as a very visible sign of our community’s commitment to getting feet on the street. We love the fun, retro look of this year’s logo — and there’s a fun design detail in the wings. Let’s see who can spot it!”
The 10K (6.2-mile) Bellin Run course traverses the streets of Green Bay and Allouez each second Saturday in June. It is one of the largest 10K events in the country.
Bellin Run participants are well supported in their training, with free weekly training run/walk events beginning March 25. All levels and abilities are welcome for these sessions, which are held at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, 1970 S. Ridge Road.
Early registration for the Bellin Run 10K event is $25, while the half-mile June 12 Children’s Run costs $12. Signing up is quick and easy at bellinrun.com.
The 43rd annual Bellin Run recorded 11,070 registrants. Additional information is available at bellinrun.com. The Bellin Run serves as the kick-off event for the Titletown Wellness Race Series, a series of local events designed to keep runners and walkers active throughout the summer and into fall.
