Bellin Health Offering Pfizer Boosters for 18-Plus
Shots encouraged as cases, hospitalizations remain high
Bellin Health is now offering Pfizer BioNTech’s COVID-19 booster shots to individuals 18 years and up at all Bellin vaccination locations. The move comes after the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently authorized the vaccinations for adults who are at least six months past their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or two months past their single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
“This authorization is good news as we continue to grapple with high numbers of COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations in our region,” said Bellin Health Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Michael Landrum. “We know that while the vaccines provide powerful protection against severe illness and death from COVID, their efficacy does wane over time. I encourage all who are eligible to receive their booster as soon as they can.”
Bellin Health administers COVID-19 vaccinations to patients and the public at the following locations:
1. Bellin Health’s Ashwaubenon Community Vaccination Site, 1630 Commanche Ave.
2. Bellin Health Primary Care clinic locations.
3. Bellin Fastlane (1555 Green Bay Plaza) is vaccinating during hours of operation. View hours of operation.
*Note that vaccine appointments for patients ages 5 - 11 are available at select locations only. Bellin will expand vaccination availability to all its clinics as vaccine rollout proceeds.
