Bellin Health Set to ‘Boo the Flu’ with Oct. 16 Drive-Thru Clinic
Open to public; one of many offerings in October and November
Bellin Health will offer a public “Boo the Flu” drive-thru influenza vaccine clinic from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at Bellin College, 3201 Eaton Road, Green Bay. Appointments are required and are available via an individual’s MyBellinHealth account or by calling (920) 445-7373. Individuals do not have to be Bellin patients to sign up.
Saturday’s event is just one of many flu vaccine clinics Bellin Health is holding throughout Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in October and November. “Boo the Flu” events feature costumed characters and treats for kids, making family protection against influenza a fun, seasonal outing.
Appointments are required for all Bellin Health flu shot clinics. Additional information for Saturday’s clinic is as follows:
• Watch for flu clinic signage when you arrive for your appointment
• Children younger than 8, as well as those who may not do well with shots (even if older than 8), should not receive their vaccination at a drive-thru event
• Wear a short-sleeved shirt or a shirt with sleeves that pull up to the shoulder
• Click here to watch a short, fun video on the drive-thru flu shot experience
Influenza vaccination is more important than ever as our region continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals can contract both viruses at the same time, posing a threat to their health and the health of their families and communities. Like COVID, influenza can be deadly.
