Children will enjoy group activities while parents learn safety musts
Bellin for Women will present “Summer Savvy: Keeping Kids Safe at Home,” a free workshop for parents that includes fun activities for children. The session will take place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, May 20 at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, 1970 S. Ridge Road.
The event will focus on children who will be spending more time at home alone while school is out for the summer months. Ashwaubenon Police Department Lt. Brian Amenson will teach parents the basic — and not-so-basic — safety checklist for their home and family. The goal is to help ensure children feel confident, prepared and safe when they’re home alone.
Children who attend will be given a short safety quiz that can be used as a tool to help guide parents’ safety lessons at home. While parents attend the workshop, kids will enjoy group activities led by the Bellin Fitness team.
Event registration is required, and individuals must be Bellin for Women members to attend. Registration is available online at bellin.org/calendar or by calling (920) 445-7373 or (888) 758-7373. Bellin for Women membership is free at bellinforwomen.com.
