Bellin Expands Iron Mountain Clinic
New services to include physical therapy, mammography, ultrasound
IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. — Construction is underway at Bellin Health Iron Mountain, where an ambitious remodel project will significantly increase the size of the clinic and provide important additional services for area residents.
Expected to conclude in February 2018, the expansion will add more than 10,000 square feet to the building’s existing 18,300-square-foot footprint. New services will be offered, including physical therapy, sports nutrition, mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry.
“This new construction allows us to enhance what we offer the Iron Mountain community, adding convenient access for in-demand services in a beautiful new space,” said Amy Dettman, Bellin Health vice president of Primary Care. “We’re excited to embark on this next chapter and we can’t wait to share our expanded facility with the public.”
Bellin Health Iron Mountain opened at 440 Woodward Avenue in fall 2012, the result of the health system’s efforts to consolidate its clinic practices in the area. Its current services offered include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, dermatology, diabetes and nutrition education, neurology, mental health, lab and X-ray.
“This project underscores our long-standing commitment to providing first-class healthcare to the
residents of Iron Mountain and the surrounding areas,” said Dr. Daniel McMahon, family medicine and primary care physician at the clinic. “Patients may have to pardon our dust a bit as the expansion proceeds, but the end result will be well worth it.”
