Bellin Physical Therapists Earn Orthopedic Credentials

Professional designations put Bellin among board-certified leaders statewide

Six Bellin Health Sports Medicine physical therapists have earned the professional designation of Orthopedic Certified Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. They are:

• Erin Bintzler, DPT
• Tracy Heim, PT
• Heidi Johnson, PT
• Joe Kucksdorf, DPT
• Shelly Schroeder, PT, DPT; and
• Kevin Tielens, DPT

The certification, which includes a rigorous examination process, indicates advanced competence in the understanding and treatment of conditions affecting bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. The credential is designed to assist consumers and the healthcare community in identifying physical therapists’ skills and abilities.

Bellin Health Sports Medicine now has 12 Orthopedic Certified Specialists and three Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellows, putting it among the statewide leaders in number of board-certified physical therapy specialists.
