Athletes on Display at Bellin Health’s Football Combine

The 2015 Bellin Elite Football Combine, where up-and-coming athletes have an opportunity to showcase their skills, is set for Saturday.

The event will showcase more than 100 high school football players from across the Midwest as they display their talents for collegiate coaches and recruiters at the Green Bay Packers’ Don Hutson Center.

The football combine, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is specifically designed for freshman, sophomore and junior football players that have proven athletic ability and the potential to compete at the next level. All attending athletes were selected based on their performance rating this past football season – all-conference or better – or having received a nomination from their coaching staff.

The athletes invited to the football combine represent approximately 130 schools from Wisconsin, the upper peninsula of Michigan and Illinois. Northeast Wisconsin, including Green Bay and the Fox Valley, will have a strong representation of athletes and schools.

“This is an excellent opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talents as they strive to continue both their academic and athletic careers at the next level,” said Terry Beeck, football combine director.

Coaches and recruiters from Division II and Division III universities and colleges, including representatives from St. Norbert College and UW Oshkosh, are scheduled to attend. National Collegiate Athletic Association rules prohibit Division I schools from participating. BEFC results will be available at www.BEFCcombine.com.

The schedule of events:
• 9 a.m.-noon: All athletes perform basic tests including 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, 60-yard shuttle, pro-agility drill, 3-cone drill, triple jump and broad jump
• 1-4 p.m.: Athletes perform position-specific drills
